Reduce the size and intrusiveness of government
Did you notice Obama just set forth a plan to reduce a number of superfluous agencies into one streamlined unit to make doing business easier?
also check out our story from earlier
Cease out-of-control spending
Last time we checked, Congress is in charge of spending. The President can submit proposals and such, but it is Congress by virtue of the United States Constitution that sets the spending AND increases the debt ceiling.
Bring back American prosperity
It may be slow, but we are pulling out of the recession that we all helped create.
Stop raising our taxes
Last time we checked, Obama forced GOP in Congress to approve tax cuts for payroll.
As much as the mainstream media would like you to believe, the Tea Party is not all a bunch of morons.

Do you really care about people having affordable health care?

“As much as the mainstream media would like you to believe. The Tea Party is not a bunch of morons.”
That statement would be a lot more credible if it were grammatically correct, and not comprised of a sentence fragment followed by a complete sentence.

This is silly. One needs to be a grammarian to have a valid idea ?

Ok grammar police. If all you are here to do is criticize, then go elsewhere. This is not the platform for correcting grammar. As long as people speak from the heart about how they feel, then your ‘point’ is pointless… not to mention childish.

You know, if you’re going to criticize someone’s grammar, you might want to get it right yourself. The statement might be *composed* of a sentence fragment followed by a complete sentence, but if you’re going to use ‘comprise’ you would say it comprises a fragment and a complete sentence.

It’s good to see there are some Tea Party members who are not, as I’ve often named them, Teanderthal Right-WingNut types; I will continue referring to those who fit that mold as such.
But to those of you who have joined the Good Fight, I say:
Welcome aboard the Barack Obama Bandwagon, friends!

If you want people to believe this, you need to do a better job speaking out when the morons are dominating the discussion….

I am happy to see that not all Tea Partiers are blinded by their ideology to see some of the good that has happened in the last 3 tears

Do you “Tea Partiers for Obama” support universal health care?
If not, you’re just a slightly less offensive teabagger.

The Tea Party talks about “We the People” then lets a lobbyist, Grover Norquest, take control of the Tea Party House Republicans with a iron-clad written promise to not raise taxes for any reason. They talk about “We the People” then sell out the majority of Americans with proposals to slash Social Security and Medicare, which many Americans depend on for or expect to suppliment their retirement. When the President wanted to extend the Social Security tax cut The House Republicans, including the Tea Party, fought it to the last minute.
I consider this to be an attack on America. When I see the Tea Party change these policys I will begin to believe them.

Instead of welcoming the people back to rational thinking, I don’t see why it is necessary to criticize their writing. It is that nitpicking and negativity which gave the tea party their bad reputation to begin with. English is my second language and, although I try hard, my writing will have some questionable grammar in it. I am delighted that there are people who took the time to investigate what they have been spoon-fed from the beginning. They should be congratulated for it. Welcome back, Fellow Citizen!

We ARE the people! Forget the party stereotypes. We need to come together as AMERICANS to bring our nation back to the greatness it once was!

I fully support this website and the idea that any movement can recognize the truth and recalibrate their support accordingly. However, I must invoke the inverse of “Kevin’s law” on the statement “As much as the mainstream media would like you to believe. The Tea Party is not a bunch of morons”.
The inverse is, of course, that the same risk of error is also incurred when someone attempts to portray a large demographic as harbingers of intellect.

I honestly can’t tell if this is supposed to be serious? In case you missed it our government has passed and extended more laws to intrude into our personal freedom under Bush and Obama that we are closer to the what caused the Boston Tea Party to happen than ever before. Our government is trying to decide what punishments should be handed down for IP theft, decide what internet content should be visible to Americans, and is slowly removing our rights to due process and general liberties (see NDAA and the proposed Enemy Expatriation Act).
Add in that Necessary and Proper Clause and Commerce Clause is being abused with the mandate on Federal Healthcare.

Last year fewer bills were past then in any other year in history. Congress is not doing their job. They do not write their own bills. They filibuster by phone with no one taking the floor to even talk about why. They say they are in session when most are on recess and will not hear bills when they try to be presented. They have passed bills to protect the Bankers and Wall Street so they can not be prosecuted. The president job is more with dealing with other countries. Congress makes laws. They are to write and pass bills that support the commons not ones that line their pockets. Let’s vote out those who are not acting in our interest in Congress. Let’s vote out state and local officials. We must educate ourselves and vote in people that will support the people. this is the only way to have real change! Let’s get going!

Unity is the ONLY way anything is ever going to get accomplished. While they keep us busy arguing, and fighting over the small things.. the bigger things go unnoticed. You have to THINK, people. We are human beings above all else, and american citizens. The term divide and conquer isn’t just some silly phrase. It’s been working for centuries. Divide the people.. the people are easier to conquer. Our basic needs are being jeopardized. Freedom, privacy, food, shelter, medical care.. these are all the things we risk losing if the current Congress has their way. As I said before.. we must unify.. it’s not up for debate.. we have to stand together. We must protect our future, (our children) our past, (our elderly) and ourselves.. no one is going to do it for us. Set the example.

When will all you knuckleheads get it that it is the military industrial complex and corporate socialism and that destroyed the prosperity in this country? Event old Ike warned you all, but you just want to create petty competitive bigoted bickering over the crumbs the leave us.

At age 69, and a lifelong Dem, I’m so proud to see this blog. I think the main message to you folks on the other side is that you should realize that corporations are literally running/ruining this country. Anyone who votes for either Rep who will win the nomination is being blinded by the people they’re voting for. The couple of trillion that the wars have cost us so far would have done a lot towards getting our infrastructure in a lot better shape. It could have helped keep people from losing their homes and helped feed the poor. I don’t see how any one of you can agree that using our resources to kill people, rather than help take care of our own, is the right way to do things. So I’ll send a warm welcome to all of you who have seen the light, and thanks….

This is frikkin hilarious. The ‘ABOUT US’ is even better, He webmaster of this site…. How many frikkin times have you changed the name of this domain since April of 2011? Hahahahahaha! Trolls never give up.
I have to buy a new chair now. I fell off mine laughing at this. This is worse than the Obamapy Wall Street sham.
hahahahahaha—>“”"”"”We manned up and realised that the problem is that the recession began during the previous administration. And while it certainly worsened for the first year of Obama’s term, there are now signs that the economy is slowly improving. Unemployment is reducing and we are more secure not that bin Laden is no longer walking the earth.
We’re tired of getting criticised for not having a plan to back up our boisterous protests, we’re tired of being called racists, we’re tired of being called nutjobs.
So we looked at the situation with clear heads and realised that barring any true, qualified leader on the right, Obama is the only choice for 2012.”"”"”"”
